Biography:
I was born at a young age ..
I suppose the realization that I had some artistic talent came about in junior high school when I started taking oil painting lessons with a local Haddonfield artist Jim Repenning. There I learned how see the world around me, and capture it on canvas. Throughout junior high and high school I spent the weekend wielding my brush under Jims watchful eye.
In college I traded my paintbrushes for a ruler and drafting pencil, I recieved a degree in Architecture from Temple University. While attending Temple something came along that peaked my interest, computer visualization. I was absorbed by the idea of creating entire worlds without picking up a pencil. After graduating from Temple, I moved down to Raleigh North Carolina to further my studies in computer visualization. At the School of Communication Arts I learned all aspects of what it means to be a digital artist. While in Raleigh I picked up the paintbrushes after a long hiatus, and began painting once again.
In 1998 I started working for a small visual effects shop in Philadelphia called amalgamation house. I would spend my days in a jungle of pixels and command lines, and at night I would escape to a simplistic world of sable brushes and canvas. My larger than life painting style is motivated by the world around me. I have had several sold out shows in Old City Philadelphia, and continue to paint feverishly, preparing for the next show.
