We where going to stay overnight, but everyone was getting off the mountain due to the weather, not to mention Shata wanted to call her friends and tell them the news. So we packed up our gear and started our 7 mile trek back down the mountain.
Shata looking back at an overcast Grand Teton. Light snow picking up.
Dropping below 7,500 feet the snow began to lift.

I had to take the ring off her finger just after this photo so she would put her glove back on. Shata's hands where red and numb from the cold. We had to get down the mountain to get out of the snow.
Top of the valley just before Lake Solitude. Paintbrush Divide off to upper left.
Grand Tetons, Wyoming. Cascade Canyon Trail to Lake Solitude.
Lake Solitude, kinda grey and snowy up here. The altitude is getting close to 10,000 feet, heavy breathing up here.

The snow was picking up a bit more. I look confident, but I was a Nervous wreck.
Nervous because..... I popped the Big Question!!! Luckily she said "Yes", it could have been a really long hike back down.

Weather clearing a bit as we pass this spot a 2nd time.

A curious deer at Inspiration Point.

Jenny Lake at Sunset. We missed the last 6pm Ferry accross the lake so it was an extra 2.5 mile hike around the lake.

We had to put our headlamps on shortly after this photo. We made extra noise at night to scare off any potential Grizzly.

Here's the ferry that we missed, but we made it back! Over 12 hours of hiking in one day, probably one of the most grueling Marriage Proposals ever! It's back to the lodge to relax and celebrate.
